Peer Review Process
When we receive a manuscript, it is first checked to ensure that it meets the formal requirements outlined in the Instructions for Authors and that it aligns with the journal’s scope and objectives. If there is any doubt, the Editor may consult other members of the Editorial Board.
After this initial screening, the manuscript is assigned to an Associate Editor, who then sends it to subject experts for peer review. The Associate Editor makes an editorial recommendation based on the reviews, while the final decision is taken by the Editor-in-Chief.
The journal follows a single-blind review model. This means that reviewers are aware of the authors’ identities in order to avoid potential conflicts of interest before accepting the review invitation. Reviewers are not anonymous—their names are published at the end of the article. However, authors and reviewers cannot directly contact each other.
Speed of Peer Review
Internet-based research is a rapidly evolving field, and we understand that authors wish to publish their findings quickly. Therefore, our aim is to ensure that the review process is fast, thorough, and fair. While the time required for review and editing depends on the quality of the manuscript, our standard practice is to provide a decision within 15 days of submission.
In some complex cases, exceptions to this timeline may occur.
