Guidelines For Authors
Aksharpath is a multidisciplinary research journal that especially encourages writing in the Hindi language. It provides space for original research in fields such as society, language, literature, culture, history, education, philosophy, and other humanities. Authors are requested to follow the guidelines below while preparing and submitting their manuscripts:
1. Language
The research paper must be written in Hindi. The language should be pure, simple, and academic. While incorporating English technical terms into Hindi, clarity should be maintained.
2. Length of the Research Paper
The paper should not exceed 25 pages. Longer papers may be returned to the author for shortening. The entire article must be typed in double spacing, including footnotes and references, on A4-sized paper, typed only on one side, with proper margins. Writing should be concise yet clear.
3. Title Page
The manuscript must begin with a separate title page containing the following information:
- Title: Brief, precise, and clear. Avoid abbreviations and formulas where possible.
- Author’s Name and Affiliation: The full name (first and last) of the author(s) must be clearly written. Provide institutional name, address, country, email, and mobile number (if available).
- Corresponding Author: The author responsible for communication regarding review, publication, and other matters. Their complete postal address, email, and mobile number must be provided.
- Funding Information (if applicable): If the research is funded by any institution, it should be clearly mentioned.
4. Abstract
At the beginning of the paper, a concise abstract of not more than 150 words should be provided, summarizing the aim, main findings, and conclusions of the research. Since abstracts are sometimes published separately, references should be avoided; if essential, give full details.
5. Keywords
Immediately after the abstract, provide up to 8 keywords that represent the main themes of the research. Avoid overly general or compound terms.
6. Sectioning and Paragraphing
The research paper should be clearly divided into sections. Each section should be numbered as 1, 2, then 1.1, 1.1.1, etc.
7. Tables and Figures
All tables and figures should either be placed within the relevant sections of the text or at the end of the article. Please note that the journal is published in black and white; hence, charts/figures should be prepared accordingly.
8. References
Follow the latest edition of the APA style. For more details, visit www.apastyle.org
- In-text citations: Every reference cited in the text must also appear in the reference list. Articles “in press” should only be included if formally accepted for publication. Personal communications or unpublished information should only appear in the text, not in the reference list.
- Reference List: References should be listed first alphabetically, then chronologically. For multiple works by the same author in the same year, use letters “a,” “b,” “c,” etc.
